A stunning and original Stephenson & Blake Ltd metal Galley cabinet complete with 75 trays. Stephenson and Blake Ltd is an  engineering company based in Sheffield, England. The company was active from the early 19th century as a type founder, remaining until the 1990s as the last active type foundry in Britain, since when it has diversified into specialist engineering. This cabinet was most likely used in a printers, probably newsprint and dates circa 1950. It has numbered metal straps running down each upright with etched numbering. It has its original green paint and is untouched. There is surface rust to the trays but is superficial and just adds to the authenticity of this amazing piece. It can be used with all trays or partially to create shelving. This is a very heavy item weighing around 140kg.
