- Description
An exquisite Rosewood sofa table from the Regency period, circa 1795. Made from the finest quality rosewood and crafted at the highest level. Intricate solid brass inlay decorates the top edges and repeats on the leaf. A brass frieze strip runs along the drawers' lower edges giving the perfect highlight and line to this section. On the legs, just below the shoulder section are raised brass relief designs which lead down to the ornate brass castors. The tabletop can be extended, with the leaf's supported by double folding timber supports, each with brass inlay details. This table is in excellent condition with very minor signs of wear and use. A stunning piece of furniture, originally purchased through a leading London auction house then remaining with a private collector.
