Our current project is this circa1930/40's chest of drawers. It is going to be fully painted so we are in the process of stripping of the old finish ready for priming and filling where required. After this two coats of undercoat, followed by two topcoats. Areas not to be painted are masked of, for example the drawers end dovetail. It adds a lovely detail, to be able to see the joints used in construction. Subtle, but worth it. The original tear drop handles will be refitted, because they are amazing.
