A superb antique Dutch Rococo style Bombe Armoire. Circa 1745. Made from Mahogany and Mahogany burr veneers. Adorned with hand carved floral reliefs and mouldings. The cabinet sits on carved ball and claw feet. The stunning curved doors open the reveal three lower drawers and a centre shelf with two under drawers. The base has two upper half width drawers with two full width drawers below. All adorned with ormolu hardware. The lower corners open to reveal four concealed drawers which run the depth of the cabinet. A hidden catch allows access. There are two small areas where veneer is missing, top left and inside of right-hand door and has been photographed for your attention Overall, the armoire is in excellent order showing minimum signs of use or wear. This was originally purchased from Amsterdam's Leading auction house, then shipped to the UK where it has resided with a private collector.
